Indian Creek Compound

Indian Creek Compound is located in Ponderosa Park, a subdivision of the Prescott National Forest about 5 miles south of Prescott, AZ. The area was originally homesteaded in 1884 and was named after the ponderosa pine trees that are abundant in the area. This area was once owned by the Native American tribes but was later purchased by the U.S. government. The first settlers were miners and ranchers who used the land for farming and cattle ranching.

The subdivision was initially developed as a summer resort for wealthy families, and it still boasts some of the most luxurious homes in the area. Ponderosa Park subdivision measures 1/2 mile by 1/2 mile and is located in a valley split by Indian Creek. The homes vary in design from primitive to palatial with many traditional log cabins, and it remains a highly sought-after location for retirees and vacationers alike.
